T are two steps totuning up scraper blades, truing and burring. Both can be accomplishedwith this one clever system that takes all the guesswork out of sharpening and burnishing cabinet scrapers. The anodized extruded aluminum fixture securely holds a mill file with two threaded knobs and allows you to quickly and precisely shape the edge of scrapers at either 45° for scraper planes, like the Stanley #80, or 90° for hand held scraper blades. Working the scraper along the fixed burnishing pin gives you an even, clean cutting burr. System includes a Nicholson mill file and a ceramic sharpening feature. Fixture can be clamped to your bench to provide a stable working area. A nice curved shape makes the system hand holdable for work away from your bench. This guide is in excellent condition. The aluminum body has a few scratches on the surface, but the system does not appear to have ever been used.
