This is the May copy of original First Printing Scribner's Magazines containing the serializtion of ERNEST HEMINGWAY'S book A FAREWELL TO ARMS. These were published before the First Edtion hardcover when Scribner's paid Hemingway $6000 for the opportunity to serialze. The book starts in May 1929 and runs through October 1929.
