What do you think?"My response:"I'm glad you asked. The material that composes this piece is very freshly preserved and in terms of strength it is actually a very tough and rugged piece. I have applied good pressure to this piece before I did the scrimshaw work. It is not going to break in the course of any normal handling or even being dropped on a hard floor.
