A graceful mermaid, perched on the edge of this hand thrown white earthenware bowl, lounges next to a coral reef. Her long hair floats along the bowl's edge toward three curious fish. Sea grasses and aqua water, created with sponged decoration, surround the bottom edge of the bowl. This piece is a one-of-a-kind original, designed and created by the artist/seller. It measures 6 1/2" across and is 2 3/4" tall. It is a perfect dish for cereal or dip or a lovely holder for keys, coins and jewelry. I use non-toxic underglazes with a clear overglaze. My ware is dishwasher and food safe. My work is inspired by the sea life I encounter at the beach and along the intracoastal waterway of Florida, w I live and have my studio. Due to the increase in shipping fees, I pay approximately half of the cost of shipping within the USA. I accept paypal, personal checks, money orders and cashier's checks and ship within two days of receiving payment.
