I travel with my husband to a lot to coin shows and auctions. Sometimes you just run across some interesting items. Of course I am always on the lookout for penny rolls. I recently picked up quite a few that were collected some time ago. I do not know if they worked in a bank, or were a widow or these rolls are part of a hoard. These were picked up all over the south by a traveling salesman.This roll is marked Farmers National Bank of Opelika, Alabama. If you have never been there, its another one of those old Civil War towns in Alabama, like most of the smaller ones are. I cannot tell you what is in this roll since it is plugged and never been opened. Sorry, I cannot accept returns on my coin rolls. Thanks. HelenNote the photos are stock.
