SHIPPING INFORMATION is to Right >>>> This is one rare set of trains. The cars are 603/603/604 UNLIGHTED cars, not the commonly seen 607/608 lighted cars. Dave Mcfarter's prewar sets books says tehse cars came with 257 steam locos for Sears, or like this with a 253 for an unknown special. I have a boxed set in Macys Special number 4 setbox from 1933/34. This set doesn't have boxes so I don't know what store sold it originally. I looked for this set for 28 years, found this beat up example and bought it because I didn't think I'd ever see another set. The trucks had been converted to AF link pins and teh ends of teh cars were cut off. I mounted these truck - the correct trucks should be the ones with two triangles on the side, but I'd never seen another set so I didn't know which ones to mount. At best this set is in good condition. The trim except for the headlights is inside the loco cab. One of the cars is missing the roof screw. You should be able to buy this set as a filler for your collection for just a little more than one of the restorers will pay, and you'll have on until you can find a better set. That's what I did. I paid a lot less for this than the boxed set on my shelf, you can get the same deal. If you're mailing payment, please include the code (begins with "C") in the auction title with your payment.
