Seascape Tile with a Flotilla of Ships

This long single tile panel would look fabulous either framed or set above a fireplace. Made by the Porceleyne de Fles, or Royal Delft Company in the early part of the 20th Century, this is a very Arts and Crafts design. The colors are warm, and the design is executed in the cuenca, or raised line process. The back has the incised mark as well as some ink marks that may denote a decorator. This is a great tile in a size that is rarely seen. Please bookmark for more tiles, pottery, and 20th Century objects.
