Hello I am selling this item on behalf of an elderly friend who is downsizing to a smaller property so needs to clear some space. I have described each item (there are lots more - have a look at my 'Other Items' section) as accurately as I possibly can. But I'm not an expert in the field of porcelain figurines. So if you have any questions, I shall do my very best to answer them or may refer back to the owner for the answer - but be aware that this may take a day or two for a response so it's best to plan ahead! Thank you very much for looking. This particular item... This is a rather plump little lady perched on a cane chair, sporting a rather fetching bonnet. She is brandishing a fan and has with her a little blue purse. By her side sits a very cheerful looking tabby cat. She is one of a pair - you can see her friend in my Other Items listings. She is just over 11cm high. The photo of the bottom of the piece clearly shows a Meissen -like mark so could be by a good quality Meissen imitator of note. As well as the mark which has the letters 'C' and 'N' in it, the piece is also stamped with the number '10'. The drawstring to her bag that she's holding has snapped off, as have a couple of her tiny fingers, but this is only noticeable on very close inspection and she displays fabulously well.
