This auction is for an 1883 O Morgan silver dollar graded MS 62* by NGC! This coin shows an about average strike for the date but very nice luster, especially for a toned Morgan. Both sides feature very attractive toning, but the obverse is quite spectacular! It shows wildly intense shades of light blue and aqua green. In contrast, there's also a crescent of vivid orange, pink, and gold separating a larger area of aqua/blue/green from a smaller area of cornflower blue near the date. The obverse color is truly exception. Although subdued by comparison, the reverse is still quite nice in its own right, showing areas of light pale blue and lilac accented by gold and bronze notes. This coin was awarded a Star by NGC, and deservedly so. While the coin shows about average contact for a 62, the eye appeal is superb. Superlatives cannot fully describe this coin! Don't miss it.
