Selected and Chosen Sermons of Martin Luther , translated by W. Case . Published in London in 1578 by Thomas Vautroullier. Printed mostly in black letter Gothic with the notes in Roman, and bound in velum. This edition was the first edition of Martin Luther's works translated into English. A rare book, not seen, that I know of at a public auction for almost 50 years. The spin is separating, but intact -- please see photos. Title page is missing, beginning with the translator's forward. First 8 pages are in rough shape but rest of book is very clean. Very lovely printing. Please see pictures as this gives the best description. Shipping note: express insured shipping at my expense.
