Self Winding Clock Company Antique Master Clock This clock is approximately 100 years old. It was a master clock in a telephone company office. It winds electrically every hour operating on a 3 volt direct current. It has a mechanism which can set the clock on the hour if it receives an electrical impulse from a remote master clock. It has electrical contacts to control two types of slave clocks. One set of contacts closes 2 times per minute to operate wall slave dials. Another set of contacts closes every 6 seconds to control mechanical digital clock displays which would have been at each operator's station at a telephone company switchboard. Slave clocks were designed to operate on 24 volt direct current. One mechanical digital display mechanism is included. The pendulum is not original. The wiring within the case is not original. Some of the electrical contacts require restoration. The clock movement itself is in excellent condition. SIZE: The wooden case measures 21 inches X 21 inches by 7 inches deep. SHIPPING: This beautiful antique clock weighs about 33 pounds and requires special packing for shipment. It will be boxed, and then set into a larger box full of peanuts. This will cost about $75.00.
