Illustrated by Caldecott Medalist Uri Shulevitz. 8vo, [v] 95pp + colophon; colored pictorial cloth boards (edges with slight shelf-rubbing, small bump to front lower left corner), colored pictorial paper dust-jacket (edges a bit worn) with $2.95 price on the inside flap. As such, the First edition, 1st printing of the authors third childrens book, the two earlier titles illustrated by his brother Maurice. ZLATEH THE GOAT And Other Stories by Isaac Bashevis Singer. New York: Harper & Row [1966]. Illustrated by Maurice Sendak. 8vo, xi 90pp a bit stained; white linen binding with gold decorative design stamped on upper cover, pictorial paper dust-jacket (a few edge tears and minor chipping) with $4.95 price on the inside flap. First edition of this important collection of Jewish folk-tales with masterful pictures. A KISS FOR LITTLE BEAR by Else Holmelund Minarik. An I Can Read Book. New York: Harper & Row [1968]. Illustrated by Maurice Sendak. 8vo, 32pp lightly stained; pictorial paper boards quite worn at edges, inside endpapers with light colored pencil drawing. First Edition, which also includes a near-fine copy of the books original pictorial paper dust-jacket, the inside flap priced at $2.50 and advertising the four other Little Bear titles on the inside rear flap. ALL THREE BOOKS come from the library of a designer who worked in the Childrens Book Division at the time these books were published, and is actually identified inside the first titles colophon as the person responsible for the books format.
