Antique Sensenich Bros. 54 in Propeller This propeller is true piece of aviation history. T is no exact date for this propeller but according to the Sensenich website " If your Sensenich Wood Propeller has a non-letter prefix or an "A" prefix serial number, your propeller was manufactured between 1932 and 1942" Which this one indeed has. The possible planes that this propeller propelled were the Piper J4E, F ;Porterfield 75C; and the Rearwin Skyranger 175. The propeller is in the expected condtion for its age, having some dents, dings, and scars but none of any real magnatude. It just adds to the weatd look of its historic beauty. The only area of any real concern is w the lamination is giving way between two of the pieces of wood. This can be easily be fixed. I have 2 pictures below that show the crack at rest, and then me exposing it by gently lifting the end. This would not really be noticable if it was not touched. You can see on the hub that t is a faint ring w it was once attached to an engine. This is a beautiful propeller that would make a great centerpiece for any pilot. Below is the inscription on the bottom of the hub. Please contact with any questions. This is a great piece of Early Aviation History so please bid with confidence! Sensenich MODEL 70D-44 SER.
