Great World War II Aviation Item Propeller made by Sensenich Brothers, Lititz, Ohio. Model number indicates it was used on a PT-13 or PT-17, themost widely used primary trainer of the Allied armed forces in World War II It is in good condition, with original paint and varnish. Metal leading edges are in good condition, all rivets present. Both decals are in good condition, though not perfect. It is not mint, and has some dings, nicks, and scratches as well as some very minor separation between laminations in a couple of places (up to about 1/16 inch wide at maximum), but it is all original, has not been refinished or altered in any way, and has a wonderful patina of age and use. The first two digits of the serial number are illegible, so it is difficult to tell when it was manufactured. It reads: MODEL 98AA-64SER. NO. _ _SENSENICHIf the missing digits are FO it was made between March and September 1945. They could be D8 (June-October 1944) or B9 (Jan.-June 1944) It is 98 inches long and weighs 50 lbs. with hub and bolts. The tips are thin and could be easily damaged. It would be ideal if you could pick it up in Lincoln, Nebraska. If that is not possible I strongly urge you to have it packed or crated professionally and shipped by the shipper of your choice. I can supply names. We can discuss other alternatives.
