Serial no. 11302, .32-20 caliber, 26-inch round barrel, with special brass covers to rear and front sights. Standard maker, address and patent date markings on barrel breech, with `32 Cal.` and British proofmarks. Blued rear sights of express style, graduated for 100, 200 and 300 yards, with additional ladder style fixture for longer distances. Peep sight mounted on upper tang. Special brass cover for express style rear sight fixture. Front sight of German silver blade on blued steel base, with brass hood cover. Blued finish, the barrel and tube appearing to be browned. Case-hardened hammer. Oil-finished walnut stocks, the fore-end checkered. Brown canvas-covered hard case with leather trim, and with two encircling leather straps. The case lined in red felt, with trade label of M.A. Cox & Son, Gun, Rifle & Pistol Manufacturers, 7 Bernard St., Southampton. Label advertising `Air guns & canes, powder shot and caps, fishing tackle & c.` Case including sectionalized cleaning rod and box of 50 rounds of obsolete ammunition, by Eley Bros., London, for `Winchester`s and Colt`s Magazine Rifles.` 3000 - 4000
