Serial no. 120304, .45 caliber, 7 1/2-inch barrel Hartford address and P and D.F.C. stampings. Blued finish. Case-hardened hammer and frame. Frame stamped D.F.C. with left side bearing U.S. markings. Cylinder stamped P and D.F.C. Hammer recess in frame with G inspector stamp. One-piece walnut grips, the left side dated 1887 with JGB cartouche and butt stamped D.F.C; right side with faint D.F.C. cartouche. This scarce multiple inspector marked cavalry Colt was issued near the end of David F. Clark`s tenure which ended January 18, 1887. A number of the Colts in this series were issued to the New York State militia including the next #120305. Sold with a John A. Kopec notated chart showing points of interest related to this particular weapon. 30000 - 40000
