Serial no. 24997. 12 gauge. 30-inch Whitworth fluid steel barrels with raised wave and one-inch wedges of fine foliate details at breech. 12 gauge 30-inch Krupp steel barrels serialed to the gun. Matted concave ribs with dual white beads. Casehardened stepped sideplate action fully engraved with fine foliate scroll and game scenes with fine chain borders. Game scenes: left: a pointer and setter in a field at the edge of a lake with rising waterfowl; right: pointer and setter in rolling hills, underside; stag`s head, and setter in gold in oval on triggerguard. Floral engraving at rear of sideplates. Fleur-de-lys motif on fences. Gold plated cocking indicators and triggers. Ejectors. Adjustable safety. Compensating screw. Ornate finely checkered straight grip stock of highly figured dark walnut. Checkering with scalloped borders, banding, arrow points and different size checkering in panels. Horn inlays with ivory inserts behind the sideplates. Vacant gold shield. Older recoil pad with leather facing. Ornately checkered (in the above described manner and including a fleur-de-lys) push-button splinter fore-end with a sculptured horn tip. Push button with a monogram in gold. 18000 - 26000
