Serial no. 70206, .44-40 caliber, 20-inch barrel, with standard maker, address and patent date markings on top, with caliber on left side of breech, and British proof markings. British proofs also on left side of frame, as well as rampant colt logo. Blued finish with case-hardened hammer. Oil-finished walnut buttstock, with checkered and varnished fore-end. Leather sporting case lined in burgundy felt, the exterior with four shipping labels, including one noting shippers offices in St. Petersburg, Boston, and Sweden. Another label is marked `Hull` and `Great Northern Railway.` Yet another notes Tenset and Christiania D. Black painted monogram on case lid with initials, which appear to be: G.C.O. 30000 - 40000
