Serial no. No. 1889-1989, .32-20 caliber, 22-inch barrel with dovetailed bead type front sight surrounded by engraved floral scroll, the muzzle with two inlaid gold bands. Elevation rear sight. Hi-polish blued finish. Top of barrel with gold-inlaid legend: The Marlin Firearms Co. Engraved scroll motifs at breech backed by two gold-inlaid bands and legend: Cal. .32-20. Scroll-engraved and gold-inlaid frame, the left side with finely executed oval gold-inlaid portrait panel of L.L. Kepburn, Inventor, flanked by finely engraved floral scroll panels with gold-inlaid line borders terminating in floral scroll motifs. Gold-inlaid riband reading: Model 1889 Centennial. Hammer and lever engraved en suite with lower lever bow checkered and White`s initials AAW on lower tang. Gold-plated trigger. Right side of frame decorated again en suite with gold-inlaid legend: No.1889-1989/Marlin [with mounted cowboy logo]. Two-thirds magazine. Finely checkered deluxe walnut stocks with checkered blued steel buttplate. Contained in original factory custom walnut display case with molded base and lid with gilt Marlin legend on top and on interior lid in relief. Green baize lined French style interior with keyed walnut storage compartment and threaded lock-down walnut bracket. Keyed lid. Sold together with photostatic copies of brief history of John Mahlon Marlin and the Marlin firearms company. A truly unique, fine and highly collectable one of a kind firearm. 15000 - 25000
