THE SERMON ON THE MOUNT, ALBERTO SANGORSKIEXTREMELY RARE FIRST EDITION FIRST ISSUE Chatto & Windus, London, 1911 Original white cover 10. 5" x 8.25". Illuminated manuscript; Illuminated by Alberto Sangorski and including by kind permission of The Right hon. Charles Booth, a miniature taken from the painting "The Light of the World" by Holman Hunt, in St. Paul's Cathedral. The whole reproduced by the Graphic Engraving Company, and published by Messrs Chatto & Windus at 111 St. Martin's Lane London W.C. Wonderful Sangorski illuminations on every page. Top edge gilt Cover and spine a a bit grubby, a little rubbed/bumped. Inside is very bright, a little toned, very little foxing, inner hinges strong, rear plain end-paper creased and a bit rippled, front end-paper rippled and a neat inscription, which says "Father Xmas 1911". This is a stunning book with stunning decoration throughout. This book was reprinted in the same format in 1928 This is the true First Edition First Issue 1911 All my items come from a smoke free home. Any questions, just message me.
