Up for sale is an unbelievable find for those seeking to accent their dining room with an vintage authentic oriental flare -- this auction includes a 95 piece set of chinese oriental export porcelain, contemporary, dating back to the 2nd half of the 20th century. Zhong Guo hi Zau, made for Western Export. I have researched the mark, and if you are interested, you can read more about it at this site: /marks/index_marks.htm The hand painted richly detailed pattern, relevant to Asian oriental culture and tradition, is colorful and bold and features a black background studded with colorful chrysanthemums and other blooms in colors that pop off the black background. Pinks, yellows, blues, greens. Very tiny gold swirls are in between the flowers and really gives the dishes dimension. The pieces are trimmed in gold and even though these are porcelains, they exude the look of cloisonne. The set is in pristine condition, purchased at an estate sale, where it was the feature display in lighted cabinets in an oriental inspired dining room. There are wonderful serving pieces and the extraordinary amount of 12 placesettings.
