This is an EXTREMELY BEAUTIFUL 100% All original example of a SESSIONS Solid Wood Mantle Clock in SUPERIOR condition. It is a very classy mantle clock in need of a warm loving home. It is quite old and made circa 1905 It has a signed Sessions Mfg. Co. " 8-day time and strike movement" which chimes on the half-hour on a bell and the hours on the hour on a cathedral gong with a mellow sound. The movement runs very well and keeps good time. The movement was just cleaned, oiled, pivots polished and bushings added w needed. This clock will not need servicing for many years to come, and is ready for the next 100 years! This is a labor intensive service, with many clockmakers charging 250.00 and up. We recommend having it oiled every 2 to 3 years to keep it in tip-top shape! With the purchase of this clock for an additional $ 2.25 we will include an oiler kit with a professional oiler loaded with enough oil to oil approximately 50 clocks with easy instructions so you could even do it yourself! The case is beautiful! The case is made of solid BLACK ENAMELED wood with a beautiful finish. The SIGNED dial is original and in SUPERIOR condition - quite rare. It also has an adjustment for fast and slow on the dial which can be turned by the small end of the key. A double ended key is included (See picture) this is very handy so you don't have to take the clock down off the shelf in order to adjust it for fast and slow. Runs super great! The movement runs very well and keeps good time. All The decorations are original and perfect. The clock measures 10 inches high, 6 inches deep and 13 ¾ inches wide. Complete with the Original Sessions Pendulum! RARE! Included is a new double ended key - one end to wind the clock and the other to set the time for slow and fast! These antique clocks amaze me - could you imagine any other consumer product still working after nearly 100 years! And the truly amazing thing with proper care they will work easily past the next 100 years, with this clock going well beyond that! Antique Clocks are a Fine Investment.
