SESSIONS BLACK MANTLE CLOCK 8 Day Movement TIME AND STRIKE Newly Serviced This is a NO RESERVE AUCTION!! Due to a few fraudulent bidders, ONLY members that have positive feedbacks will be permitted to bid on this item, unless permission is given by me prior to bidding! The winning bidder will receive this beautiful 8 day time and strike Sessions mantle clock, also called a shelf clock, that is in very good condition! This clock will become the focal point of any room that it's displayed in, and it is fully functional! The ORIGINAL Sessions movement has been completely serviced, (completely disassembled, ultrasonically cleaned, worn pivots bushed, reassembled, adjusted, pivots oiled, and mainsprings greased to run and strike perfectly), and has been keeping good time for a couple of months between weekly windings. The clock counts the hours on the beautiful cathedral gong at the top of each hour, and also calls each half hour once on the pretty sounding bell. The ORIGINAL brass bezel snaps tightly closed over the ORIGINAL very fancy paper signed dial, which is in good condition. The case retains it's ORIGINAL black enamel finish that is in great shape with the exception of two nicks in the top of the case (see pics). The columns are bright and clean, and in near perfect condition, just like when it came off the factory table over 100 years ago! The Original case hardware adorn the clock, and have been restored to their former appearance. It even has it's ORIGINAL pendulum bob (very unusual)!!! The key is not original but works fine. NO extra holes to indicate anything other than the dial and movement are the same ones that started life with this case. The back is a newly made replacement but protects the movement from dirt, and sunlight nicely. Please look at the pictures, to see the quality! It is very unusual to see a Sessions clock of this quality in an Ebay No Reserve auction. The clocks' dimensions approximately are: 16 1/2" wide, 12 1/2" tall, and requires a 6" deep shelf to sit on.
