Many businesses and manufacturers offered free wall regulators to grocery store owners with ads on the lower door glass. The CALUMET BAKING POWDER COMPANY distributed hundreds of these throughout the nation in the early 20th Century. This solid Oak cased wall regulator includes a calendar mechanism as well as a CALUMET advertising glass. The glass is not original to the case, but is exactly as they all were when first issued to the grocers of America. The clock runs well, keeping good time and the calendar advances properly each day at midnight. The dial is original with the "Sessions Clock Company, Forestville, Connecticut" imprint and the label on the back of the case retains its designation as the SESSIONS #2 regulator Forestville, Connecticut(see photograph). This nice clock has a solid tick that assures the owner of its durability and good running condition. Priced lower than most of this type...it would look wonderful in a country kitchen or den.
