After removing the old felt from the bottom's (because it was falling apart and these were scratching everything i put them on) I found markings in both. the markings are LF 1922 LACA not sure if laca is LA California or something else but they but have these marks inside. His name is Big Chief Stogey, And her name is Sacajawee with child. Famous for the Lewis and Clarke expedition. Very rare to find one in great shape but a set is unheard of. These are Chalkware Cigar Store Indians. 1922 We can date these back. they were my fathers who has passed and we are parting out his collectables. These were from somewhere NYC most likely Lower east side because thats where he was from.this is for the a pair. The male is 41" tall the female is 37.5 " tall. So there is new felt.
