SET 2 OLD THAI BRONZE PARAKEET BUDGIE LOVE BIRDS Description This is an old SET of 2 SOLID BRONZE sculptures of PARAKEET LOVE BIRDS (BUDGERIGARS) recently acquired from the main market in Bangkok Thailand. Superbly crafted, the sculptures display the truly lifelike and perfectly proportioned qualities and characteristics of the Parakeet. The long tail feathers, the short curved beak and the puffed up crop are unmistakable. The head of one Love Bird is tilted to the right and the other to the left. The birds feet and sternums create the perfect stable display base. The surface of each sculpture is sensuously smooth with a striking mottled dark brown bronze color. T is a slight green patina and sedimentation. The age of the sculptures is unknown but they are in EXCELLENT condition.The sculptures with a combined weight of 650gms(1.4lbs) measure 5.25 inches long, 2.5 inches tall and 2 inches wide.
