Set of 8 Vintage Antique Illustrated Catholic Children's books IN MINT CONDITION, and STILL IN THEIR ORIGINAL BOX!!!! This is for the "Life of Christ - For Children" series. It is a set of 8 books. Each book is 5 1/2" x 7 1/4" and 8 pages in length. T are gorgeous full color pictures on every page. I've tried to show a lot of pictures so you can see how beautiful these are. Sadly, they just don't make books like this anymore. The stories are just precious. My favorite book is vol II "The Childhood of Jesus". is part of the text: "The Holy Family. What a beautiful example for our own family life!... .... and Jesus, though he was God, and had created Mary and Joseph, neverthless shows us by His own acts to be obedient and respectful to our parents or guardians. ...Jesus Our Model. Jesus played, like other children, but always with His Mother's permission; and He never quarrelled or upset His playmates." The titles of the booklets are: Jesus is Born, The Childhood of Jesus, The Mission of Jesus, The Parables of Jesus, The Parables of Jesus - II, The Miracles of Jesus, The Passion of Jesus, and Resurrection and Glory. Each of the books bears the Nihil obstat and Imprimatur from 1955. The publisher is W.H. Litho Co., New York. Printed in Italy. They are Pre Vatican II, and very traditional.
