These early original examples date from circa 1903. The set is fully hallmarked with the Reed & Barton logo "("S"in a shield)", "STERLING", "PAT'D. Each of these stunning knives is designed with a sumptious art nouveau floral design . Each measures over 5&3/8" (5.375) inches. The blade tips are in superb condition with no unusual wear and in excellent shape. The die stamped handles are still very vivid & crisp both front & back. Each of these heavy solid fine American Solid Sterling Silver knives weighs a hefty 33+ troy grams (well over one ounce). The entire set of eight weighs 267 grams troy (8&1/2) troy ounces.
