This is a set of 9 Continental silver apostle spoons, all with little Belgian arrow marks stamped into the end of the bowl where it joins the handle. According to Jan Divis’ book “Guide to Silver Marks of the World”, this stamp was used in Belgium between 1831 and 1869 (see last photo). The spoons are ca. 10.5cm long and have a combined weight of 95.94 grams. I don’t know what the Belgian silver standard was at the time, but assuming it was 800, then these spoons would scrap for around £32. I am listing them at a start price of just below that. All spoons are in lovely condition. Please note that two of the apostles look the same, all the others are show individual differences. 1st Class Recorded Delivery within the UK is £3.65.Internationally signed for airmail delivery to EU countries is £8.08. Internationally signed for airmail delivery to USA and worldwide is £9.01.
