Booths Empire Silicon China Dinner Plates Ceylon Ivory - Floral Motif Wonderful Vintage Condition Set of Six (6) ---------------------------------------------------------- Offered for your enjoyment and in distinction, is an English set of six (6) Booths Empire Silicon China dinner plates in the rare Ceylon Ivory. This gorgeous set features intricate design in brilliant green, four floral insets, floral overlay in center and gold trimming on the rim. The white is a soft white or lightest ivory. They measure approx. 10 5/8" diameter.These are a beautiful addition to any collection and will be sure to garner compliments! The last sale on ebay for one of these plates w/crazing was $69! Appropriate maker's marks; Booths Silicon China, the image of an elephant, "Ceylon Ivory", Made in England, "EMPIRE" & RN653851. Each plate also has some various manufacturing markings and imprints on back. This vibrant and stately set is in excellent vintage condition commiserate with age - they are 99 years old! There is light wear to the overlay consistent with age, but even those areas most prone to damage (rims) are in excellent condition. Mentioned for the discriminating collector, please know there is crazing on a couple of the plates; one of which also has light discoloration in center.
