Exceptional set of Claude Dorzome steak knives renowned for their excellence worldwide. The blades are 50% carbon, 14% chrome, and 1% molybdenum. The handles are natural horn. Manufactured in Thiers, France for over 100 years, Claude Dorzome was a master cutler who was the first to introduce these fine knives for table use. All knives manufactured in his factory bear the distinguishable Mark of the bee as well as his name. The bolsters are solid brass, and tarnish naturally when exposed to moisture in the air. The bolsters can be cleaned with silver polish. The knives are in excellent condition having only been used a handful of times. The knives measure 9" from the tip of the handle to the tip of the blade and are free of any defects. * Languiole is the name of a town rather than the name of the knife. 80% of the Languiole knives are manufactured in France, the finest being made by Claude Dorzome. These knives retail new for approximately $350.00
