KNOWLES COLLECTOR PLATES SERIES: " FRANCES HOOK LEGACY " ARTIST: FRANCES HOOK - PLATE DIAMETER: 8 1/2 INCHES A SET (entire 6 issues) of children collector plates by Frances Hook in EXCELLENT condition with no chips or repairs. Each plate comes with a Certificate of Authenticity, informational pamphlet, and original Knowles box . The late Frances Hook left us the definitive statement of her remarkable career in children's portraits. This is a Limited Edition series and limited forever to 100 firing days! Frances Hook truly had a unique style of artistry which is known as "HOOK STYLE." I will list each plate title and the information that goes with it including Frances Hook's writings on the back of each: Issue 1 : "Fascination", 1985, plate # 784G, Bradex # 84-K41-13.1, Hook writes: "The eyes of a child see the world in all its beauty." Issue 2 : "Daydreaming", 1985, plate # 16044A, Bradex # 84-K41-13.2, Hook writes: "Every little boy is a hero in his daydreams." Issue 3 : "Discovery", 1986, plate # 1899A, Bradex # 84-K41-13.3, Hook writes: "A child can do what an adult cannot: see the beauty of nature through new eyes." Issue 4 : "Disappointment", 1986, plate # 5806A, Bradex # 84-K41-13.4, Hook writes: "Even for a child, life has its rainy days--but we learn that the sun always comes back again." Issue 5 : "Wonderment", 1986, plate # 2015B, Bradex # 84-K41-13.5, Hook writes: "He's just like that butterfly--growing, stretching, trying his wings." Issue 6 and Final : "Expectation", 1987, plate # 3570B, Bradex # 84-K41-13.6, Hook writes: "Time stands still for him until that big moment when his Mom gets home."
