This is an elegant set of 4 six inch bread/dessert plates made by J & C (Jeager & Co.) of Bavaria Germany. The fine china plates are white edged in a thick 3/8" wide gold border. The border has a floral leaf pattern and the border on each of the 4 plates is in excellent condition. On the inner edge of each border are the tiny signature initials ADA....also in gold. Each plate has a backstamp "J & C Bavaria" (see photo) I read on Etsy that this mark was used by Jeager & Co. from 1898-1923, but I can't verify that. As stated above, the plates have no chips, crazing, or cracks and the gold borders are intact and bright. One plate has a small divot on its surface and one has a hairline scratch, but neither of these flaws are readily obvious. I will pack securely and ship very promptly when payment has been made. Thank you for considering these lovely plates which would compliment other gold rimmed fine china.
