These beautiful old chairs are for pick-up only. They are in Ellensburg Washington (near Yakima).
You are bidding on a set of ELEVEN chairs. The picture is of a set of four and is for an example only. They can be easily unbolted into smaller sections for transport. Pick-up can be arranged for any day of the week, Sunday between 10 and 2 is best. Payment can be made at pick-up. These are from a movie theater that was renovated in 1930. Since this time they have been in the Masonic lodge in Ellensburg as seating. They were constructed by Heywood Wakefield. The backs are solid northern yellow birch and are very handsome. They are in good condition as the Lodge Room is only used a few times a month. I can not say with any certainty when they were constructed. The gentleman who owned the theater was a lodge brother and donated them in 1930. Ellensburg burned to the ground in 1889 and most of the buildings in town, including the theater from which these came, were built in 1889 or '90. So, they are very old somew between 1889 and 1930. The seats covers seem to be leather, but I am not an expert. Please ask any questions you might have, and I have more pictures. I also have 4 or 5 more sets (ranging from 7 to 11 seats each) which will be auctioned in the next few weeks. My phone number is ask for Pat.
