This is a wonderful SET of 25 vintage Italian wood carved Hazelnut Wood tiles or plaques, depicting Roman type soldiers in combat with shields and swords. These pieces are all individually hand carved, have a great three dimensional quality, each one is unique. These tiles/plaques are Sicilian in origin and measure approximately 4" by 4" each. Some of the tiles have small wood strips on the back, some do not, please view all photos. Let your imagination run wild!! Would be great for a table top or fireplace surround, or around a mirror, or even applied to a small chest or trunk. These pieces are offered with NO RESERVE, starting at just $1.00.
