Preferred Checkout Circa: 1860 Dimensions: 19" wide x 19" deep x 37" high Stock Number: MK3-2196 Approximate Weight: 75 lbs. This Set of Four Dining Chairs was made in England circa 1860. We purchased the Chairs in Bristol, England.The Chairs are made of Mahogany. It has a rich, Deep Mahogany Patina. These are English Victorian Dining Chairs. They are in very good condition. Sturdy and ready for everyday use. This Set of Four Formal Dining Chairs are intricately carved. The design has a definite oriental influence. This was common in Early Victorian furniture, as they were fascinated with everything from the Far East. The Crest Rail scallops beautifully with a finely carved Scrolling Fan Pattern carved at the center with a Floral, Cherry and Foliage Pattern just below. Horizontal Reeding flanks it. The Splat is highly carved with an Asian Key surrounded by carved Foliage. Scroll Work Flows down the sides. The Horizontal Rail at the bottom of the Splat scallops beautifully. The Seats were just upholstered by a local upholstery shop. The are in mint condition. The Chairs are supported upon Baluster Turned Legs with Bobbin Turned Embellishments at the front and Tapering Straight Rear Legs. This is an unusually lovely Set Of Four Formal Dining Chairs.
