This auction is for a set of 4 of the most beautiful polishing and buffing cloths you will ever own. While completing an apprenticeship in the Sheffield England cutlery trade many years ago, I noticed many of the older masters had a specially made polishing cloth. It consisted of an outter buffing cloth with a finer inner polishing cloth. When asking w I could purchase one, I was always told that they did not make that cloth any more, and I wasn't getting theirs. Well, for the last 10 years we have had them reproduce them. This special cloth is ideal for the knife collector. It consists of an outter buffing cloth measuring 12" by 14" with an acid free polishing inner cloth, 1" smaller on all sides. The inner cloth is specially designed to absorb the acid and oils produced by your hand. The two fabrics are sewn together with a center fold. Knife collectors know that the oil from your fingers left on the carbon steel blade can quickly cause tarnish, but a quick buff with this cloth will quickly remove them after handling and prior to storage.
