SET OF 5 ENGLISH OAK WINDSOR STYLE DINING OFFICE CHAIRS Circa: 1930 Dimensions: 19" wide x 21" deep x 38" high Stock Number: MK2-2017A Approximate Weight: 70 lbs. This grand set of five Windsor style dining chairs was made in England, circa 1930 . We purchased the chairs in Stourport on Seven, West Midlands, England. The chairs are made of Oak , and have a rich, golden Oak patina. These are English dining chairs, in very good condition. The chairs each have a very uniquely arched crest rail , which spans all the way from the floor acting as legs and uprights as well . At the center a wide pierced, walnut splat is flanked by four ornately bobbin turned smaller splats , following the crest rail's graduated design. The center splat has a delightfully ornate pierced and carved scroll design. The overall aesthetic is quite attractive. The seats are made in curved Windsor style design . The chairs have bobbin turned legs with fine reeding at the front and back. These are connected with baluster turned stretchers. Whether you have transitional or classic style of home decor, this collection would make a fantastically unique antique accent. Buying an antique piece is also environmentally conscientious.
