This auction is for an antique set of eight 9-1/2 inch decagonal pewter plates with a double reeded edge outlining a ten sided perimeter and a wonderfully silky patina. T are minor scratches and, on the reverse, a series of marks that appear to be in the French language with shields and fleurs-de-lis. Some of the words included on the reverse include "DANGE, TERRE, FABRE, QUE, et al. The marks are similar on all the plates, with some being easier to read than others.
