This auction is for a set of 8 Royal Cauldon Bristol Ironstone Woodstock series dessert plates. Contained within the set are the following patterns : 1 " Speedwell ", 1 " Lady's Slipper ", 1 " Rock Purslane ", 1 " Cornflowers ", 1 " Sweet Rocket ", 1 " Pimpernel " and 2 " Cardinal Flower " plates. The overall condition of the set is quite good. T is some "crazing" (or crackling) in the glaze on a few of the plates, especially the "pimpernel". T are also some imperfections which appear as tiny "crumbs" under the glaze in a few places mainly on the back side of a couple of the plates which are very minor. The only one w these bumps are more noticeable and on the front is on the "Cornflowers" plate. One of the "cardinal Flower" plates also has a tiny black fleck under the glaze just at the inner edge of the border (shown in close-up photo). T are no cracks, repairs or chipped edges on any of the plates. The borders are deeply embossed and beautifully textured w/ no rough edges. Anything negative in my description is mentioned for purposes of being as honest as possible in my representation of their condition no matter how small the defect. This truly is a lovely, functional & unique set of plates. Please feel free to ask questions. Thanks for looking !
