Set of Four Early Victorian Mahogany Chairs ca 1850 This quality set of four early Victorian mahogany dining chairs have scrolled backs with beautiful shaped back supports ( the bottom and side supports are moulded ) .The back legs are splayed, the front legs are beautifully turned and the front edge is reeded. The chairs have been recently upholstered in soft green velvet with a matching braid trim. One of the scrolls has a small old repair (not noticeable), the chairs have been constructed from quality solid mahogany, are a rich medium mahogany colour, have a striking grain, good patina, are in good original condition and have been beautifully cleaned using a traditional form of wax finishing.
