Offered is a rarely-seen set of 7 vintage interlocking veggie-people, elves and little girls depicted frolicking in quite the merry Hallowe'en scene. The die-cuts look splendid linked together in a zig-zag line - this is how they are shown in the main listing photo and it is this angling of the pieces along with the camera flash that makes some of them look faded... in this picture, the first character and the little girl in the clown outfit/2nd from right are better depict the true color... all of the die-cuts are of matching color tone and, in my opinion, a fair amount more orange-y and less yellow-y that the picture shows - and the much-loved orange to black contrast in bright. Others have suggested that four die-cuts can be put together to make a centerpiece box and some of the pieces are depicted in the Vintage Halloween Collectibles book/2nd edition w they are identified as pre-1920's American-made. Like so many old Halloween treasures, this ephemera displayed evidence of use/time/storage and is not perfect. The set is sold AS IS and I will try to outline its flaws.
