DESCRIPTION I've been to some fabulous high-end estate sales of late, so please check my other auctions. The woman from whom these estate Schumann hand painted Dresden demitasse cups (10) and saucers (12) came was quite the entertainer! The mark dates them to 1918. Most of what I purchased from her was from the early to mid 20th century. The cups are 2 3/8" tall and the opening diameter is 2". They are decorated inside with four flowers, orange, purple, yellow and blue. The saucers are 4 1/4" in diameter. When will you ever find another set of 10? The two extra saucers are the same pattern, but just marked Bavaria. They are in excellent condition with no chips cracks or dings. I have matching coffee/tea cups and saucers also listed and some other Dresden pieces. The opening bid in no way reflects what I paid, but I thought we'd have some fun! Because of the number and fragility of these items, they will be shipped in a purchased box. Always happy to combine shipping and provide additional photos. Thanks and good luck! If I am not an expert in an area, I will so state, and you should ask questions accordingly. Just as in a live acution, all sales are fina l, unless I have seriously misrepresented a piece. In the unlikely event of that happening, I will gladly refund the auction price and initial shipping cost. Buyer's remorse doesn't count! No returns will be accepted on items sold "as is." My feedback policy is that I immediately post positive feedback as soon as I hear from you that you are pleased with your item. SHIPPING AND HANDLING FEES The last change in postal rates resulted in a HUGE increase in sending priority mail boxes out of zone, especially in boxes that are larger than a #7 box. Please use the postage calculator to determine what your shipping costs will be. If insurance is required on an item, that amount will be included in the estimate, as will handling fees. I charge $1.50 to pack #4 priority mail and small flat rate boxes and $2.00 to pack a #7 box and large flat rate box. If I must purchase a special box to ship your item, I will pass that cost on to you. I can assure you this only helps to defray the ever-increasing cost of the petroleum-based materials I use to pack your item extremely well. In 2007 my cost of packing materials exceeded my handling fees by $987 and did not take into account my time. My careful packing with quality products ensures your items will arrive safe and sound.
