EXCELLENT SET OF SIX WATERFORD 'GLENMORE' PATTERN CUT CRYSTAL CHAMPAGNE FLUTES ALL SIGNED For your consideration is this fine set of Irish Waterford cut crystal champagne flutes in the discontinued 'Glenmore' pattern, which was originally introduced in 1968. These beautiful flutes stand 7+1/8" in height, have a foot rim diameter of 2+3/4" and a bowl diameter of 3". The heaviest glass weighs 10oz and the lightest 8oz, the variation due to each glass being hand blown/cut. The underside of each foot is cut with a sixteen point star, and each flute also bears the 'Waterford' acid etched mark on the base. They are in excellent 'used' condition, no cracks, chips or restoration of any kind, with minimal signs of use. There are a couple of very tiny air bubbles visible, plus one small but visible manufacturing flaw on the underside of one foot measuring 1/8" which has been carefully photographed using a macro lens. This flaw does not feel sharp or jagged to the touch and I believe it occurred when the sixteen point star was cut. In all, a beautiful set of six very fine cut crystal champagne flutes which are increasingly difficult to find in good condition.
