Exceptional 1896 set of 4 original Spalding sports advertising cut-outs. Cards are manufactured by the Koerner & Hayes company, Buffalo, NY. Cards are 5 inches high; 1. Foot ball player, back of which has a write up on football by Walter Camp. It discusses the Spalding football as well as the game. It has no creases or tears. It is the only card missing the little tab on back which allows card to stand up. 2. Golf, back of which also has a write up on it. It discusses Spalding golf clubs as well as the game. All cards manufactured by Koerner & Hayes Company, Buffalo, NY. It has its tab on back which allows card to stand up. No creases or tears. 3. Bicycle, Has date 1896 on front. Back discusses bicycling as well as Spalding bicycles. It has its tab on back to stand up as well. No tears, it has a very slight crease on right bottom. 4. Spalding Tennis Player, The racket in girls hand has Spalding logo on it, back discusses lawn tennis as well as Spalding rackets and Wright & Ditson Official tennis balls.
