SET 3 VICTORIAN Silver FRUIT SERVING SPOONS HM 1900 NR CASED SET - Stunning Design - 4 troy oz. - Sheffield This is a very rare VICTORIAN solid sterling silver set of fruit serving spoons that was made in Sheffield, England in 1900 by the illustrious Victorian silversmiths and cutlers, Harrison Brothers & Howson at their Norfolk Street workshops - James William & Henry Harrison and William Howson were cutlers to Her Majesty Queen Victoria!! The set consists of a pair of serving spoons and a sugar sifting spoon. The spoons are in a stunning pattern with apostle finials over barley twist stems and gilding to the bowls of the serving spoons. Each serving spoon is 7" long overall and 2" across the bowl. The sifting spoon is 5 1/8" long and 1 5/8" across the round pierced bowl. This set weighs 118.6 grams - together well over 3 3/4 troy oz. They are in very good condition with less than the usual surface scratching and NO splits, dents or dimpling - see photograph - and only a little wear to the gilding - SUPERB. Each spoon is hallmarked to the bowl with GH, crown, lion passant (sterling silver assay mark), h showing they were each hallmarked in Sheffield in 1900. I have shown the hallmarks so that you can make up your own mind. They come in their original gold tooled black leatherette case which is lined with purple silk and purple velvet and is in very good condition.
