I'm selling this clock for a friend who is very ill. It is 7 " across the front. 7 1/2" across the back. 5" across the chapter ring. This clock has been in storage a few years but it appears it was serviced prior to that. The movement looks very clean and the oil even looks clean. The Photos describe this piece best. The dial needs resilvering, second bit is missing. ( I tried one from a # 10 movement but it was too small to fit on the arbor) The glass was glued in poorly and may need regluing or a snap ring could be made. This very old clock took off running at a pretty good clip when I wound it and has a strong tick while running. (no need to open the bezel) It is also stamped 39 as is the movement holding plate. The case and the door are stamped 39 also. I saw a listing for a 39 movement in Tran Duy Luy's book but no photo. Maybe someone out t knows this movement. It has all the proper Seth Thomas markings and logo. The door seems to be a bit tricky getting on and snaps shut. T is a button that releases it for removal. have never handled a clock of this type so I'm not familiar with the door procedure. (probably a good reason for the outside wind) 1 photo shows the door read more
