Seth Thomas #2 regulator, in oak , 1881, 36.5 " tall, (the larger case as in 1913 the cases got smaller to 34 inches). 15" wide . It is an 8 day weight driven clock. This clock case is in near perfect, and mint condition. The glasses are original, unblemished and wavy top and bottom glass. The hands minute, second and hour are are original and perfect. The 12" painted zinc dial has no crazing and is an excellent original dial. held on by 6 old small screws on the outside and 2 old small screws on the inside. The pendulum stick is perfect, original with no signs of repair or splits in any way, not even scratched up (rare to see an unmolested pendulum stick). the brass and lead pendulum bob has original shiny finish on it, with 2 small dings in the smooth brass front, not objectionable. The oak case has original perfect finish and has obviously been in a nonsmoking, protected envirnment , and it is wonderful. The ONLY blemishes on the case are at 2 oclock on the oak bezel a rub mark through the varnish only , (shows in pic?) and under the door at 5:00 position on case the veneer has been rubbed off by 125 years of the door opening and closing, putting friction pressure on this section of the oak wood case that first supports the door.
