Offered for sale in this No Reserve Auction is a Seth Thomas tambour case time and strike mantel clock in good condition. The model is the Sentinel Number 7 and it is shown in Ly's Seth Thomas Clock book, 3rd Edition, Volume 2 on page 696. It is item 1672 and gives 1928 & 1929 as the dates of manufacture. The case measures 19 inches wide, 9.25 inches high and 6 inches deep. This movement is the J model, meaning that it has an hour and half-hour strike on a single horizontal rod. The clock comes with the original pendulum and a quality replacement key with the Seth Thomas logo. WHAT MAKES A CLOCK A GOOD VALUE? The rules of economics are fairly straightforward.
