Several weeks ago, we discovered a group of SETH THOMAS 'RIO' wall clocks. Actually, there were six in this collection and we decided to purchase all of them...providing they met our quality control standards. Unfortunately, two did not, so we've added four of these scarce wall clocks, two with calendar mechanisms plus a full strike on the hours; and two with time and strike. This lovely example includes a 31 day calendar; a restored, repainted dial; a clean, professionally-serviced brass movement with the Seth Thomas logo and USA stamped into the brass (see photograph) and a lovely refinished case. The maker's label inside the case was probably lost during the refinishing process. The lower door glass is clear and without any applied circles or pattern. In all our years of buying and selling antique clocks, we've never been able to find even one Seth Thomas "RIO" and then...all of a sudden...along came these four. The first to arrive sold immediately. I'm sure that the three remaining RIOs will also go quickly. The brass adornments on the case add an interesting note and the large pendulum window in the lower portion of the case highlights a clean, recently-shined 'bob'. NOTE: There are some reflections on the photographs which were caused by camera flash and nearby lighting. Our prices are lower than most...due to careful management and world-wide networking.
